Living in a world of instant gratification and hyper-convenience, we have forgotten what it means to truly get everything out of what you have. This team decided to focus on utilising orange peels, normally considered a by-product. The “When Life Gives You Orange Peels” project then came to life, during which they extracted essential oil from the peels. The goal of this project was to raise awareness of the amount of waste being disposed inefficiently, by showcasing how much use one can still get out of something that is considered trash.
