Our Action
This team's primary objective was to prevent the food waste that occurs when an animal must be slaughtered due to overpopulation. To preserve nature in the Netherlands, it is essential to maintain wild animal populations. Without hunting, the small size of the living environment and lack of natural predators would result in an overpopulation of animals. A good example of a location in which this exact situation occurred is the ‘Oostvaardersplassen’, where all the animals were malnourished leading to starvation and forced massive hunting.
