The main problem we are tackling is the minimum shelf life required by stores. A lot of food gets thrown away because of the minimum number of shelf days. However, food waste can be reduced massively if stores are motivated to be more efficient about ordering products so that the products avoid being in storage for a long time, and there are different ways of packaging that can increase the shelf life of products.
